When people heard me sing, they would always say, with incredulity, "you sing?"  I was never very "vocal" about my music side.  So - "Phil Sings" became my tagline to Stuff 'N Nonsense.  I do 'indeed' sing!  And it often got me through some pretty rough experiences overseas. And my sister, Marion, sings too!  She has an incredible voice and is often compared to Karen Carpenter.  We make an awesome duo.

This song was written for a service on 9 January 2022 at St. Paul's. It was written for Epiphany when the Wise Men headed back to the East. If you think about it, there aren't a lot of stories about the Wise Men after the stable. So what were they thinking, where were they going?

This song was written for a service on 27 February 2022 at St. Paul's. It is about the Transfiguration when Jesus took some of his disciples up a mountain and he was transformed.

My 3rd song in my annual Church calendar of events. This song was written for Annunciation Sunday. A message was brought to Mary that she would bear a son and his name would be Jesus.

The Master's Eyes

This song was written for Father John Bridges, of St. Paul's Anglican Church on his retirement. It was at the peak of the lock-down and there was a lot of uncertainty. Congregations had thinned out to nothing and Fr. John was preaching to empty pews. We loved his style, his compassion and his personality.
